DEATHS

Mary’s parents both died in the late 1880s. Her mother Mary died on 18th July 1888 and her father John died on 4th November 1889. They were buried at Mount Zion Baptist Chapel, as can be seen on their gravestones.


Mary died relatively young, before her 50th birthday. A Monumental Inscription was made of the text on her gravestone by Glyn Williams:


In loving memory of our dear parents

Mary Lewis who passed away May 18th 1913 aged 49 years

William Lewis who passed away Feb 15th 1933 aged 73 years
