Cornelius Evans, 1820-1904
Cornelius Evans was baptised in Llanishen in 1820, brought up and probably born at Tregirog House in that parish. His parents were John and Temperance Evans of Tregirog House.
He came to Glascoed later in life – appearing on the 1881 and 1891 censuses at Glascoed Vach farm. I love this picture of him, provided by Darren. He looks a real strong character to me. I can just imagine him using that stick well!
