Dennis Simons

Dennis Simons took over the running of the Hill Farm from his father, Albert J. Simons.

I received a lovely snippet of information about Dennis, dating back to World War II. The information was provided by Dennis’ nephew recounting the words of his sister, Ann Simons.

“My mother mentioned this morning she has seen on the website some info about a [single] German Airplane machine gun attack on and around ROF Glascoed during the 2nd world war and she remembers Dennis was in the fields ploughing (with horses) at the time and he saw it happen, he let the horses go and dived under the hedge!”

Here is a fantastic picture of Dennis holding a dead polecat at the farm!
