Jemima Williams
(Cir 1848-1896) |
Jemima Williams
Research Notes: Since Isaac married Jemima's mother (also named Jemima) in 1853, when Jemima was aged 4 (or 5), I have assumed that Isaac is her adopted father, not her biological dad. It is obviously possible that they just didn't formally marry for a few years. Noted events in her life were: • Census: 1851, 30 Mar 1851, Upper Cwm, Glascoed, Monmouthshire. • Census: 1861, 7 Apr 1861, Upper Cwm, Glascoed, Monmouthshire. • Census: 1871, 2 Apr 1871, Upper Cwm, Glascoed, Monmouthshire. • Occupation: Housekeeper, 2 Apr 1871, Upper Cwm, Glascoed, Monmouthshire. • Residence: at the time of her marriage, 20 May 1872, Glascoed, Monmouthshire. • Census: 1881, 3 Apr 1881, Upper Cwm, Glascoed, Monmouthshire. • Census: 1891, 5 Apr 1891, Limekilns, Glascoed, Monmouthshire. • Languages spoken: English, 5 Apr 1891, Limekilns, Glascoed, Monmouthshire. Jemima married Job Thomas, son of James Thomas and Unknown, on 20 May 1872 in Mamhilad parish church, Mamhilad, Monmouthshire. (Job Thomas was born circa 1843 in Mamhilad, Monmouthshire, died in Feb 1901 in Pontypool District Union Workhouse, Llanfrechfa Upper, Monmouthshire and was buried on 14 Feb 1901 in Llanfihangel Pontymoile Parish Church, Monmouthshire.) Jemima next married. |
