Simons

I am very grateful to Garry Cork, for information and photographs that he has provided on the Simons family and their long-standing links with Glascoed, as farming people. He has kindly allowed me to share these on here.

The Simons family farmed at Glascoed Vach (Edward Simons), from the turn of the century (early 1900s) to Edwards’ death in 1936.

Edward’s son, Albert J Simons, farmed at the Wern farm initially (early 1930s), then some years later took over the Hill farm.

Dennis Simons took over the Hill farm from Albert and Ann (Albert’s daughter) married into another Glascoed family, the Corks from Bryn-Melyn, Glascoed.
