Newport Library holds a collection of Electoral Registers for the County of Monmouth.

So far the Glascoed copies of the following have been added:

1843 to 1844 Register of Electors, Glascoed

1848 to 1849 Register of Electors, Glascoed

1853 to 1854 Register of Electors, Glascoed

1855 to 1856 Register of Electors, Glascoed

These do not include every resident, since only those with certain (often property) qualifications could vote, but are a useful source of information that can confirm or otherwise whether someone was alive or dead, and where they lived.

It also gives an idea of their standing in the community.
