Dennis Simons

Dennis Simons took over the running of the Hill Farm from his father, Albert J. Simons.

Here is a fantastic picture of him holding a dead polecat at the farm!

I received a lovely snippet of information about Dennis, dating back to World War II. The information was provided by Dennis’ sister, Ann Simons.

“My mother (Ann Simons) mentioned this morning she has seen on the website some info about a [single] German Airplane machine gun attack on and around ROF Glascoed during the 2nd world war and she remembers Dennis was in the fields ploughing (with horses) at the time and he saw it happen, he let the horses go and dived under the hedge!”
