Emma Rachel Price
(Cir 1840-) |
Emma Rachel Price
Noted events in her life were: • Census: 1871, 2 Apr 1871, Hill Farm, Glascoed, Monmouthshire. • Occupation: Farmer's wife, 2 Apr 1871, Hill Farm, Glascoed, Monmouthshire. • Residence: at the time of his children's baptisms, Between 1873 and 1877, The Hardwicks, St. Bride's, Netherwent, Monmouthshire. • Census: 1881, 3 Apr 1881, 2 St Johns Terrace, Grays, Thurrock, Essex. The transcription notes that William's wife is "Sarah". Since there are a few other likely errors in the transcription, no Emma Morgan of the right age appears in the National death indexes between 1877 (last recorded appearance of Emma as alive at her child's baptism) and babies appeared bi-annually between this time and 1881, my guess is that Emma's name has been wrongly transcribed as Sarah. Emma married William Morgan, son of John Morgan and Mary Arthur, on 27 Jun 1865 in Llanfihangel Torymynydd, Monmouthshire. (William Morgan was born on 9 Apr 1837 in Glascoed, Monmouthshire and was christened on 9 Jul 1837 in Monkswood Parish Church, Monkswood, Monmouthshire.) |
